颠倒

turn (put) upside down,由“倒置”转义而来,主观意识较强,往往表示有意“颠倒”,有时又是个中性词。
- 他们蓄意颠倒社会主义历史时期的敌我关系。 They deliberately turned things upside down as to the relation between the enemy and us in the historical period of socialism.
- 他们颠倒是非的阴谋暴露了。 Their conspiracies to turn the truth upside down were exposed.

reverse, reversal,由“翻到另一面”转义而来,也有较强的主观意识,因此一般可与turn upside down换用。

confound, confuse,由“混淆”转义而来的颠倒。
