众生由惑业之因(贪、嗔、痴三毒)而辗转于三界六道生死之中,恰如车轮回转,永无止尽,故称“轮回”。
All living things oscillate between birth and rebirth in the three realms and six ways of existence, and they arise out of the causes (the three "poisons": greed, anger and folly) of illusion. So called "reincarnation" is like a wheel that never stops spinning.
