传说秦始皇有一面镜子,能照见人心的善恶(见于《西京杂记》),后来用‘明镜高悬’比喻法官判案的公正严明。 {According to Miscellaneous Records of the Western Capital, Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221 B.C.-206 B.C.), had a mirror which could show the good or evil of a person.
