春秋时,晋国同楚国在城濮(在今山东鄄城西南)作战,遵守以前的诺言,把军队撤退九十里 {when the State of Jin was warring with the State of Chu at Chengpu (southwest of present-day Juancheng, Shandong Province) during the Spring and Autumn Period, it retreated its troops 90 li, honouring a promise}(舍 {she}:
