when Boya, a good musician, played the zither with his mind on climbing a lofty mountain, Zhong Ziqi, who was sitting by his side and listening, said, ‘How nice! It sounds as lofty as Mount Taishan.’ When Boya played a tune portraying flowing waters, Zhong said, ‘How nice! It sounds as immense as the Yellow River and the Yangtze River.’ After Zhong died, Boya quitted playing music altogether, believing that no one in this world could understand his music better than his deceased friend.}
