《圣经》记载,上帝在六日内创造天地万物,第七日完工休息。犹太教尊这天为圣日,名叫安息日(即星期五日落到星期六日落的一昼夜时间)。这一天礼拜上帝,不做工作。基督教以星期日为安息日,又称主日。 {Sabbath (day). According to the Bible, God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. The Jews observe the Sabbath (i.e. from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday) worshipping God with careful spiritual rites, whereas most Christians observe Sunday as their Sabbath and some, esp.
