《史记·太史公自序》:
- ‘藏之名山,副在京师,俟后世圣人君子。’后来称著书立说为‘名山事业’。 {devoted to writing; take up writing as one's lifetime career. Records of the Historian·Author's Preface:
‘Hidden in the famous mountains, and holding office in the capital city, I await to be a sage in the later age.’ From this line is derived the phrase, ‘a career in the mountains’, alluding to writing.}
